What are your main “big picture” responsibilities at LDDI?

My role in the Learning Design & Digital Innovation (LDDI) unit is to support faculty members, instructors and instructional support personnel to utilize technologies appropriate to meet pedagogical goals and to increase the effectiveness of the use of multimedia and media production in programs and courses.

What are some of your specific, hands-on, day-to-day tasks at LDDI?

I support the use of Canvas, organize and conduct workshops on educational technologies, and develop online training resources, ensuring that technologies support the educational objectives in programs across the Faculty of Education.

Who do you primarily work with?

I work with faculty members, instructional and user support staff in the development of educational resources, the management of learning systems and the enhancement of educational technologies.

What are your specific areas of interest in the field of educational technology or beyond? How is your work at LDDI contributing or playing into those areas of interest?

My areas of interest include learning design of online and blended courses, learning technologies, professional development, and community engagement.
